Velocite Flux full carbon mountain bike frame was developed to deliver the best off road performance when the terrain gets technical, or fast. It is not a frame for showing off to friends, for keeping indoors, or for riding on paved roads. The Flux is a thoroughbred carbon fiber frame intended for trail domination and winning.

It is not an ultralight frame. It does not aim to look impressive just on paper, or to be used for bragging rights. Nevertheless, the weight of just 1.2kg for size M (19") is perfectly reasonable.
While there are lighter frames, none are stiffer or more durable than the Velocite Flux. We can confidently stake this claim since we used the best available materials, and the best available construction methods, and we avoided making an ultra light frame on purpose. To make the Velocite Flux any lighter, we would have had to reduce the number of carbon fiber layers since there are no further technological improvements possible. Removing the layers may be acceptable with some road bike frames, but we deemed this completely counter productive for a true racing mountain bike frame.
A stiff frame allows you to remain in much greater control when the terrain gets technical, or when you are trying to go as fast as possible. It allows you to maintain your line without loss of control. A flexible frame deflects sideways and around the obstacle, or the point of impact instead of going where you are pointing it. When navigating challenging drops, or rocky and rooty sections, you will have a lot more confidence on the Velocite Flux than on a lesser frame. Similarly, on fast flowing trails where you will reach speeds at which you need to maintain focus, a stiff frame will allow you to precisely guide it along the fastest line, with minimal guesswork and anxiety.
The increased stiffness maintains its performance lead when going up hill as well due to increased power transfer and better rear wheel traction since you will not be deflected sideways every power stroke.

All Velocite frames lead their product class in terms of torsional stifness as measured at the head tube and the bottom bracket (also known as pedalling stiffness). High torsional stiffness increases the efficiency and handling characteristic of the bike without adversy affecting rider comfort. Specifically, the exceptionally high pedalling stiffness results in immediate response to your every stroke, and instant acceleration.
Our frames take advantage of a tapered head tube with a 1.5" bottom bearing and 1 1/8" top bearing. This is the optimal configuration to achieve the best torsional stiffness at a low weight. The oversize head tube allows larger diameter down tube to be used, while the fork also benefits from the larger fork crown which distributes the stresses over a wider area.
Velocite headsets make use of specially treated bearings that are coated with a hard titanium nitride ceramic (TiN). This ceramic coating gives the bearings their golden colour, but its primary function is to protect the surface of the bearing races against mosture, and abrasion damage, both of which can cause premature bearing failure due to rust.
High compaction technology (HCT) is a carbon fiber composite manufacturing method that allows us to achieve smooth, wrinkle and debris free interior surfaces, as well as perfect outside surface quality which is not wavy or of uneven thickness. The benefits are not only cosmetic. HCT composites have less voids and thus higher inter-laminar strength which increases frame durability and stiffness.
We prioritize the use of unidirectional carbon fiber wherever possible in order to achieve the highest strength and stiffness for any given weight. Likewise the monocoque process where there are no physical joints at all throughout most of the frame enables us to utilize optimal continuous fiber layups to achieve our extraordinary performance.
